Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

We provide a range of integrative massage and wellness services, including neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, nerve flossing, somatic trauma therapy, and health coaching.

Massage therapy can help reduce pain, improve mobility, lower stress levels, and promote overall relaxation. By targeting both the physical and emotional aspects of health, we support the body’s natural healing processes.

We offer in-person sessions for hands-on therapies like massage and bodywork, and virtual sessions for coaching and certain wellness programs.

Sara has been a massage therapist since 2012, specializing in Precision Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, somatic trauma therapy through nervous system regulation, and holistic coaching for body, mind, and soul health.

Myofascial Release

The myofascial release technique targets both the muscle and fascia systems. By applying controlled pressure, we create a mild sense of trauma that triggers the body’s natural healing response, drawing increased blood flow and essential nutrients to the area. This process supports tissue repair, making it especially beneficial for individuals with limited mobility, painful movement, or those aiming to enhance range of motion and athletic performance. Myofascial release helps muscle fibers fully extend, potentially improving stride length, speed, and endurance. It’s often paired with neuromuscular massage for even greater therapeutic benefits.

Neuromuscular Massage

The specialized skill focuses on the nervous system wiring that runs through the musculoskeletal system of the body. Through finding areas of tension, muscles are “combed through” from one attachment point to another, working to smooth out any adhesions, a.k.a. knots, that are causing loss of mobility, blockage of lymphatic, pathways, pain, etc. This therapy is often used in conjunction with myofascial release to provide my clients with the best healing.

Upper Body Nerve Flossing

This technique is another variation of structural integration, which I typically divide into two segments—upper body or lower body. Upper-body nerve flossing is especially beneficial for people experiencing repetitive use injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, tension headaches, rounded shoulders, tech neck, or numbness and tingling in the hands.

Lower Body Nerve Flossing

Just like the upper body technique, this approach softens the connective tissue and allows nerves to move more freely. Nerves can get “stuck” in tight, adhesive areas—similar to how floss can catch between teeth. By reducing these adhesions, this method helps prevent nerve impingement and promotes smoother, unrestricted movement.

Integrated Somatic Therapy

Although we may consciously decide to move on from difficult experiences, our bodies sometimes hold onto the trauma. Somatic trauma therapy integrates mindset work, body scans, breathing exercises, movement, and sensations tied to memories, aiming to heal the pathways in the brain that were disrupted by intense hormonal responses during challenging life events. Unlike traditional talk therapy, this is movement-based therapy focused on releasing trauma stored in the body’s tissues.

Trauma Coaching

We all have past experiences we can learn from, run from, or sometimes even get stuck in. This coaching program is designed to uncover recurring patterns that hold you back and reshape them into a new source of purpose and peace. While there’s no way to guarantee perfect days, there is a way to create more great ones.
